I am a qualified English Language & Literature and History teacher with 6 years' teaching experience across a variety of classrooms, from state Schools in the UK to language Schools in the Czech Republic. I graduated from University College London with a PGDE in English Language & Literature with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) which is a Secodary School teacher Qualification, I have excellent Subject and exams knowledge. I pride myself on my ability to identify and solve students' difficulties, helping them to 'get unstuck' and teaching them the skills they need to become independent and enthusiastic learners.

I hаve significаnt, lоng-term experience аt levels frоm KS2, 11 Plus, KS3, GCSE / IGCSE & A-LEVEL (For English Language, Literature & History). I hаve enаbled students tо mаximise their оutcоmes аt аll оf these аssessment levels. I hаve tаught bоth primаry аnd secоndаry age students thrоughоut the cоuntry аnd аm therefоre skilled аt teаching students frоm аll wаlks оf life.

I have worked with all major Exam boards including; AQA, EDEXCEL (Both GCSE & IGCSE), OCR, Cambidge (Both GCSE & IGCSE), Eduqas and WJCE (Welsh exam board).

No matter your starting point, I can meet you where you are at and get you where you want to be. I am used to using a variety of approaches depending on class size (individual or small group), student age, and the goals of the student. My focus is on helping my students to understand the learning process, so that they can ask the right questions and take charge of their own learning.

I will provide you with resources and guidance to help you practise independently so that you can build on the progress you make in your lessons with me. I have a thorough knowledge of several exam syllabuses and can teach you the techniques you need to do well in exams, but I also want to help you set your own targets and have fun with your learning!

Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.
