I have worked in secondary schools in London, and in language centres and schools in Liverpool, China and Thailand. I have guided students to GCSE and IGCSE examination, from start to end of the course.

I am an experienced online teacher, and have a PGCEi (Merit) in teaching from The University of Nottingham, a degree in English Literature from The University of Cambridge, and a Master’s Degree in Theatre from The University of Exeter.

I like to build a good rapore with students, and to develop the student’s interests and self-expression. I have been involved in teaching online at KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I have taught students from many different backgrounds and from all parts of the world.

I like to agree a study programme with parents and students. I adapt my approach for each student’s needs and goals. My preferred Exam Boards are Cambridge Assessment and AQA.

Each lesson has Homework to be submitted a few days after the lesson. I give detailed hand-written feedback on home-work. I have tutored students to entry exams.

Aisha took her on and her teaching style was perfect in building up my daughter's confidence, so much so she went from Grade 3 to achieving Grade 8 in all 3 Science subjects. Allow me to thank Sue Schulkins for the wonderful work she has done with our son’s English classes. We have seen our son’s interest grow as the sessions have progressed. Before Sue started out with him - I noticed she gathered as much information as she could and she listened to us and even adopted some of our methods. She improved on them and added her own unique creativity. She was very unlike some teachers who would insist on using their own method - she never did that. She was able to find out from our son his expectations and discovered he loves unusually funny narratives. She incorporated this into her curriculum and we have seen such a marked improvement in his English comprehension. He is having fun during the English sessions and his work has improved. He is attentive and focused. Sue Schulkins is certainly a different kind of teacher and we are very happy with her work. Well done Sue.

My son worked with Katie Jackson for his GCSE Combined Science ( Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) and it made a real difference. The lessons were engaging and helped him get much more confident with tricky topics and exam-style questions.
